To multiply mix numbers and a normal fractions you make the mix number into a improper fraction. To do that you multiply the bottom and add the top. Here are the answers:
1/2 x 5 1/2 = 2 3/4
3 3/4 x 1/2 = 1 7/8
1/2 x 3 1/3 = 1 1/6
3/4 x 3 1/6 = 3 1/8
2/1 x 1 1/7 = 2 2/3

A membership committee of three is formed from four eligible members. let the eligible members be represented by a, b, c, and d.
Lynna [10]

The correct statements are:

There are four ways to choose the committee.

There are three ways to form the committee if person D must be on it.

If persons B and C must be on the committee, there are two ways to form the committee.

It is given that:

A membership committee of three is formed from four eligible members.

1)

There are four ways to choose the committee.

This statement is true.

since we have to choose 3 members out of the 4 members so we can use the method of combination.

2)

There are three ways to form the committee if person D must be on it.

This statement is also true.

since D has to be in the committee, this means we have to choose 2 more people out of the three people to form the committee.

3)

If seven members are eligible next year, then there will be fewer combinations.

This statement is wrong.

Since we have to choose 3 members out of 7 members so the number of possible combinations will be:

i.e. there are 35 combinations possible.

4)

If persons B and C must be on the committee, there are two ways to form the committee.

if B and C have to be in the committee then we have to choose just one person out of the two people left.

Hence, the statement is true.

5)

If persons A and C must be on the committee, then there is only one way to form the committee.

If A and C have to be in the committee then as in last option we have to choose any one of the two person left.

so possible number of ways are 2.

Hence, the statement is false.

Answer:

  C  f(x) = {4e^x -5, ..., -x +7, ...

Step-by-step explanation:

The easiest portion to check is the constant section in the interval [0, 6]. All of the function definitions agree on that, so that doesn't help choose the right answer.

__

Next easiest is the linear section at the right. It has a negative slope. Extension of the line to the y-axis shows it has a positive y-intercept. This eliminates choices A and D.

__

The horizontal asymptote of the exponential portion at the left is -5. Both of the remaining choices B and C agree on that. The exponential is increasing at an increasing rate, so its coefficient is positive. This eliminates choice B.

The appropriate description of the function on the graph is offered by choice C.

_____

The graph below plots the function. We note that the given graph seems to show the exponential curve incorrectly.

On day 1, i'm going to run 12 laps at the fitrec. then, for each of the next six days, i'm going to roll a six-sided die, and th
sveticcg [70]
Short answer: 36.
This is a combination/permutation problem.
To put it simple, a die has 6 sides, there are 7 days but 1 is already determined (12 laps).
So if we multiple the options (sides on a die) × the number of days (6) we get:
6 × 6 = 36 possible outcomes.

To show this we can get
12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18
12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19
12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20
... all the way to
12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48
