Answer: Normally, the invasive species can reproduce rapidly because their environment has no/lacks predators and pests.
It is important because 1/3 of our fresh water is above the suface which is not a lot considering the fact that 4% of the world's water is fresh water, which is what makes our fresh water very important and valueable.
