So, the sequence is hmm, well
it is the sum of the sequence where 0.6 is the initial term and each term is 1/10 of the previous
then add 1 to that
so rmember the 1 at the end
the sum is 1.66666666666666 forever actually
but to calculate the inifntie sequence (without the 1)
sum of inifnite is (a1)/(1-r) where a1=first term and r=common ratio

a1=0.6
r=1/10=0.1
so
the sum is 0.6/(1-0.1)=0.6/0.9=6/9
add 1
1=9/9 so
1+6/9=9/9+6/9=15/9

the sum is equal to 15/9 or 1 and 6/9 or 1.66666666666666666666666666666666666666

This may be one of those questions that could take
more paper to ask than to answer.

Line-1 goes through  (-4, 8) and  (4,6) .

Its slope is (difference in 'y') / (difference in 'x')

Dif in 'y' = (6 - 8) = 2
Dif in 'x' = (4 - -4) = 8
Slope of Line-1 =  2/8  or  1/4

Line-2 goes through  (-1, 1)  and  (3, 5)

Its slope is (difference in 'y') / (difference in 'x')

Dif in 'y' = (5 - 1) = 4
Dif in 'x' = (3 - -1) = 4
Slope of Line-2 = 4/4 = 1

Slope of Line-1 = 1/4
Slope of Line-2 = 4

The slopes of the lines are different.
They can't be parallel, and they can't be the same line.
They must intersect in one point, and only one point.

That means the pair of equations has exactly one (1) solution.

Find the new amount given the original amount and the percent of change.
ella [17]

Answer:

New Amount = $9.8

Step-by-step explanation:

Original amount  = $ 7

Percentage increase = 40%

Increase in amount = 40\% \ of\ 7 = \frac{40}{100}\times 7=\frac{280}{100} = \$2.8

New amount = \textrm{Original amount + Increase} = \$7+\$2.8=\$9.8

New Amount = $9.8
