Pangea is the name of the single landmass that broke apart 225 million years ago and gave rise to today's continents. Although there are different views regarding Pangea but for many this was the name given when the continents did not separate from one another. some people think that the continents were never joined together. ultimately it is for the people to side with which ever opinion they strongly support.
