Answer:

Yes, "Life ain't been no crystal stair", is your metaphor

Explanation:

A metaphor is a figure of speech that makes an implicit, implied, or hidden comparison between two things that are unrelated, but which share some common characteristics. It compares two things without using the words "like", or "as".

The author uses this metaphor, as to say that life definetly hasn't been easy, and never will it be, but that's no excuse to quit or give up easily.

(english literature 50 points) how was the declaration of independence relevant to the colonial era and the age of reason? form
timama [110]

The synopsis is as follows:

The Declaration of Independence was approved by Congress on 4 July 1776. The declaration mentioned the separation of the 13 colonies from Britain, it had a massive impact on the history of America, the end of the colonial regime, and the end of Britain ruling America.

Taking the perspective of the people living in the colonies, were not happy because of a variety of reasons some of them are that they did not have a say in their governance, and in no circumstances could they avoid paying taxes. It took Americans a lot of time and collective movements to agree on independence from Britain rule. The relevance of the Declaration of Independence would be the official steps taken to end the colonial era.

The Age of reason helped in the shaping of the Declaration of Independence, three main points in this are Equality, liberty, and individualism. When the declaration had been drafted, at this period individual rights were unheard of and this is the relevance of the age of reason with the Declaration.

Colonial-era of British rule in the 13 colonies established in the 16th century or early 17th century. The age of reason was written by Thomas Paine, it was a series of pamphlets, this series was popularly called the age of reason. The British came to fear the rise in political radicalism, making the British prosecute printers who tried publishing the book. The age of reason hence woke Americans for a movement of change.

The age of reason provoked negative responses from most readers as well as the British, these enlightenment ideas highlighted that each citizen has a right to autonomy, reason, and the notion of equality. And this was its role in the Declaration of independence.
