Difference between French and Spanish colonies:

These colonies were quite similar, but, there were also some differences. The main goal of these colonies was to accumulate wealth.

French colonies:

• The French colonies were more focused on settling and were more densely populated than the Spanish colonies.

• The French colonies promoted trade with Native Americans.

Spanish colonies:

• The Spanish colonies were more of a place to store the gold and silver obtained from the mining and were less populated.

• The Spanish destroyed the culture of Native America.
