Julio spent $41 and now has no money left he had BLANK before his purchase. write the integer
timama [110]

Answer:

total = $41

Step-by-step explanation:

If Julio spent $41 and now has no money that means that after spending that money he was left with $0. Having both of these numbers we can make a very simple algebraic equation to find out his total before the purchase.

total - $41 = $0

Now we simply add $41 to both sides which will give us the actual amount of the total.

total - $41 = $0

        +$41  +$40

-----------------------------

total = $41

Now we can see that Julio had a grand total of $41 before making his purchases.

How do you solve 1 - r = -5. Please Explain!!
Gemiola [76]
1-r=-5
add r to both sides so the one side cancels out, then it should be 1=r-5
then you add -5 on each sides (because what you do to one side you must do to the other) and it would then have r on its own side which would give you your answer of r=6. To check 1-6 does equal -5

Which equation is equivalent to the following?
goldenfox [79]

Answer:

4)  2(x - 3)^2 + 2(y + 5)^2 = 96.

Step-by-step explanation:

2x^2 – 12x + 2y^2 + 20y – 28 = 0

2(x^2 – 6) + 2(y^2 + 10y) = 28

2 ( (x - 3)^2 - 9)) + 2((y + 5)^2 - 25) = 28

2(x - 3)^2 - 18 + 2(y + 5)^2  - 50 = 28

2(x - 3)^2 + 2(y + 5)^2 = 28 + 18 + 50

2(x - 3)^2 + 2(y + 5)^2 = 96
