this would be a larger vessel meant for traveling long distances quickly & smoothly resulting from it's construction using a narrow/streamlined body & large sail spread to catch the wind.
A clipper is a sailboat appeared in the nineteenth century, elongated and narrow, with three or more masts, and characterized by its high speed. The name clíper comes from the English noun «clip», informal word that denoted at the time «speed». The expression "at a good clip" is used to refer to something that happens quickly. The clipers were the swan song of sailing due to the harassment of mechanically propelled ships.
