Working with fractions, huh? They are not as hard as you may think.

Just think:

1/4 = 2/8

3/4= 6/8

So...

9 3/4 = 9 6/8

Step 2.

9 + 1 = 10

6/8 + 1/8 = 7/8

Step 3

10 and 7/8

Step 4

Simplest answer
 10  7/8,
(can't get more simplified than that)

Hope this helps! :)

In this question, you have to add the inches. so, (9+3/4) + (1+1/8) = 87/8

I converted the mixed fractions into improper fractions, which gave me:

39/4 and 9/8 and then, I multiplied the 39 by two, so that the fractions have a common denominator (8) -> 78/8 + 9/8 and this equals 87/8

Jones Street is parallel to Lincoln Street, and both streets are intersected by Elm Street and Avenue A. Jones Street J 105° m E
kvv77 [185]

We have:

Alternate angles are equal in measure, therefore:

\angle E=105^{\circ}

Then, The angles E, JEA and 32° add up to 180° because they form a straight angle. So:

\begin{gathered} 105+\angle JEA+32=180 \\ 137+\angle JEA=180 \\ 137+\angle JEA-137=180-137 \\ \angle JEA=43 \end{gathered}

Answer: 43°

A runner runs around a circular track. He completes one lap at a time of t = 269 s at a constant speed of v = 4.6 m/s. What is t
AURORKA [14]

Answer:

\boxed{\text{197 m}}

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula relating distance (d), speed (s), and time (t) is

d = st

1. Calculate the distance

d = 269 s × 4.6 m·s⁻¹ = 1240 m

2.Calculate the track radius

The distance travelled is the circumference of a circle

\begin{array}{rcl}C & = & 2 \pi r\\1240 & = & 2 \pi r\\\\r & = & \dfrac{1240}{2 \pi }\\\\& = & 197\\\end{array}\\\text{The radius of the track is }\boxed{\textbf{197 m}}
