Taking into account that communication refers to a process of exchanging information, it involves the use of the following three types of language known as oral,  written, and nonverbal.

Oral language has to do with the oral exchange of information where spoken words are uttered. It includes face-to-face conversations, for example: speech, telephone conversations, etc.

Written language implies the use of written signs or symbols to communicate. For example: emails, letters, reports, etc.

Nonverbal language involves the use of body language to communicate. For example: gestures, facial expressions, posture, etc.
