Answer:

INCOMPLETE DOMINANCE

Explanation:

Incomplete dominance is an exception to Mendel's pattern of inheritance as he described in his LAW of DOMINANCE, that in an heterozygous state, an allele will mask the expression of its variant pair in a gene. Incomplete dominance has shown that an allele might not be completely dominant over its pair but instead form a hybrid that possesses an intermediate phenotype that is the combination of both parental phenotypes.

An example is when Mendel crossed peas that produced red flowers (RR) will peas that produced white flowers (rr). The red flower allele (R) did not show complete dominance over the white flower allele, instead a heterozygote F1 offspring (Rr) with pink flowers was produced. The pink color was an intermediate phenotype of both white and red.

What do we mean when we say that the genetic code is degenerate?A single codon can encode more than one amino acid.An amino acid
Arada [10]

Answer:

An amino acid can be encoded by more than one codon.

Explanation:

Codons are triplets of nucleotides in mRNA that are used for the protein synthesis (translation). A codon specifies a single amino acid, but there are exceptions. tRNA molecule contain anticodons, triplets of nucleotides that are complementary to codons. So, during the translation, tRNA carries the amino acid, that corresponds to the codon in mRNA.

Degenerate genetic code (more than one codon can code for the same amino acid) is important, because when point mutation occurs it is possible that the amino acid remains unchanged.

In an experiment to study the effect of proteases on proteins, what is the MOST LIKELY effect of a major change in pH
dezoksy [38]
If a major change in pH occurred, the protease enzymes would stop functioning or function very slowly, assuming the original pH was the most optimal pH for them.
