X    | -0.6x - 0.6y = -0.6 | 0.5x - 0.3y = -2.7 |
      |            y                |            y
-4   |           5                |            2 1/3
-3   |           4                |            4

From the table, solution is (-3, 4)

12x + 3y = 12 => 3(4x + y) = 12. . . (1)
y = -4x + 5 => 4x + y = 5 . . . (2)

Since, the left hand side of (2) is a factor of the left hand side of (1), the system is dependent.

1) Solve the equation 7x+5 = 7x-3
babymother [125]

Answer: no solutions

7x + 5 = 7x - 3

5 = -3                  [ subtract 7x from both sides ]

Since we end up with 5 = -3, a clearly false equation, we conclude that the original equation has no solutions.

i hope this helps! :D

How many solutions are there to the equation below?
xxMikexx [17]

Hi there! :)

Answer:

B. 0 solutions.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the equation 7(x + 2) = 7x - 10

Simplify:

7(x + 2) = 7x - 10

Distribute the 7 with the terms inside of the parenthesis:

7x + 14 = 7x - 10

Subtract "7x" and 14 from both sides:

7x - 7x = -10 - 14

0 ≠ - 24. The equation has no solutions.

Geoff wants to purchase a circular area rug for his room, but he can't decide between the small size and the large size. A small
salantis [7]

Answer: The larger rug is 4 times larger

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for determining the area of a circle is expressed as

Area = πr²

Where

r represents the radius of the circle.

π is a constant whose value is 3.14

The small circular rug covers an area of approximately 67 square feet. This means that

67 = πr²

r² = 67/π = 67/3.14 = 21.34

r = √21.34 = 4.62

If a large size rug has twice the dimensions of a small rug, it means that the radius of the larger rug would be

2 × 4.62 = 9.24

The area of the larger rug would be

3.14 × 9.24² = 268.06ft²

Therefore

268.06/67 = 4

The larger rug is 4 times larger
