When you write of something gothic, use very drab and sorrowful adjectives, describe something that was once good, but now turned evil.



I hadn't been inside Robin's room in 6 years. College kept me from home, for a long time. Stepping inside, I sneezed, dust covered the air in a hazy fog, gently flowing around. It landed on the bedsheets, a riled up mess of fabric, some of it landed on a pot. The orchid that used to bloom from that pot had long since died. Now a brown, cracked clay memorial to a dead hope. The room just had a sense of dread hanging over it. The bubbly nature I remembered gone, all hope, all dreams, had abandoned it, looking for somewhere they would be welcome.
