Which sentence best summarizes Della's thoughts about her husband in "The Gift of the Magi"?

English
1 answer:
dalvyx [7]3 years ago

Answer:

Della thinks of her husband as if he were a king. Della cares about Jim very much and she thinks of Jim by cutting her hair and selling it for $20. And with the money she received from her "hair cut" she had bought Jim a silver chain for his grandfathers golden watch. At this time he was using a leather band. Della knew that his watch was very important to him, so she bought him the silver chain. Thus fore she wouldn't be considered self- centered. Hope this helps. Look at me! Look at my arm! I have ploughed and planted, and gathered into barns, and no man could head me! And ain't I a woman?
Vladimir79 [104]
The answer is "C". She is talking about being equal with men and she can do as much as they can and that  is a struggle because nobody is going to listen to her. I don't see any part that talks about a slave but that option is the most accurate.
