Answer:

Civil rights are the political and social freedoms that grant us equality. An example is the right to vote. Civil liberties refer to the rights that protect us from unjust oversight from governmental or other organizational interference. An example is freedom of speech.

Explanation:

The meaning of civil rights and civil liberties has always been blurred because both words are included in the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. People often use these two ideas interchangeably. The emphasis in regards to civil liberties is the protection from unwanted government actions. Civil rights are the positive actions the government should take to make sure everyone in society is treated equally. Sometimes these dimensions of our laws are at odds, like when national security comes up against freedom of the press and their right to publish about government actions.

How have people adapted physically to different environments? Why do you think these differences developed?
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]
That's a simple part of evolution. Humans are built to adapt.

If we go in the frozen tundra, we make coats and other cold-blocking clothes. We find nearby food, like fish. Over time, our differences become more distinct from the rest, and we become less vulnerable to the cold.

Hope this helps! :)

Paha777 [63]
I believe the answer is: it is a strong predictor of later aggression in adolescence and adulthood

Children who display constant physical aggression toward others generally experience some sort of problem in their home (they are either being ignored by their parents or they witness their parents do it and imitate them).
If this left unhandled, the aggression would become a habit as they grow up and make it much harder to be changed.

Functionalism views social problems occurring when members of society have not been adequately socialized toward adopting the pr
qaws [65]

Answer: True

Explanation: A social problem is an issue that affects and influences many individuals within a society. Such issues include child abuse, homelessness, hunger, gender discrimination and so on. Functionalism is a sociological theory based on the premise that society is a complex system and all its various parts work together to promote stability and solidarity.

Functionalism therefore views social problems as occurring when society has not yet caught up to the expectations of norms and values that would promote the social consolidation and stability of such social system. This theory believes that an impact in one part of society will impact another part, for example, it should be expected that extreme poverty will inadvertently lead to higher crime rates in a bid for the poor to fend for themselves.
