Renaissance art is the painting, sculpture and decorative arts of the period of European history which emerged as a unique style in Italy in about 1400. This happened in parallel with developments which occurred in philosophy, literature, music, science and technology.
The material which was responsible for some of the amazing artwork of the Renaissance is red clay which was originally imported from the Ottoman Empire.
