Y = 3.50x
245 = 3.50x
x = 245/3.5
x = 70 coffee mugs

315 = 3.50x
x = 315/3.5
x = 90 coffee mugs

Ronny needs to sell 90 coffee mugs to reach his sales goal. However, he already sold 70 coffee mugs, so he needs to sell an additional 20 coffee mugs to reach 90 coffee mugs and reach his $315 sales goal.

Determine the solution to the system of equations by using substitution.
Y=4x+10
Y=-5x-10
amm1812
Steps:
1. Substitute the y in 4x + 10 with -5x-10
-5x-10= 4x + 10
2. Add 5x on both sides
-10= 9x + 10
3. Subtract 10 on both sides
-20= 9x
4. Divide by 9 on both sides
5. Your answer is
X= -20/9

The quantity a varies directly with b and c and inversely with dThe quantity d is tripledWhich of the following must be true for
EastWind [94]

Answer:

We have the next relation:

A = (b*d)/c

because we have direct variation with b and d, but inversely variation with c.

Now, if we have 3d instead of d, we have:

A' = (b*(3d))/c

now, we want A' = A. If b,c, and d are the same in both equations, we have that:

3bd/c = b*d/c

this will only be true if b or/and d are equal to 0.

If d remains unchanged, and we can play with the other two variables we have:

3b'd/c' = bd/c

3b'/c' = b/c

from this we can took that: if c' = c, then b' = b/3, and if b = b', then c' = 3c.

Of course, there are other infinitely large possible combinations that are also a solution for this problem where neither b' = b or c' = c

Will bought 3 college textbooks. One cost $32, one cost $45, and one cost $39. What is the average price of his books? Choose th
valkas [14]
The statement that correctly calculates the average price of Will's books is

B. ($32 + $45 + $39) ÷ 3

This is because the average or mean, is found by adding all of the numbers together and then dividing the sum by the amount of numbers you added together (in this case 3.)
