Women are MOST important to the survival of the Igbo culture and traditions because they do most of the household chores and they help with the yam crops and other farming tasks. Without women to help take care of such tasks, the Igbo people would not have been able to develop the capabilities that they did, such as their calendar, banking system and strategic betting game called Okwe.

Which of the following is NOT a reason why authors and speakers consider their audience when crafting a text or speech?
tatyana61 [14]

The goal of designing a text or speech for the audience is to be well understood, convince them with your arguments, to entertain and keep them interested in the topic.

When an author develops a text or speech, it can come with new ideas, that may clash with the audience's ones. Bringing new thoughts and argumentation might incite critical thinking and change of minds; It is not necessarily ideal for the author to match the audience's opinions.

So, a. to make their own opinions closer to the audience's opinions is NOT a reason the authors consider the audience when crafting their texts or speeches.

Amanda [17]

Answer:

A. The clause is "that are not registered"

It is essential.

It does not require a comma.

Explanation:

Relative clauses are clauses that actually contain a subject and a verb. They are known to begin with a relative pronoun (e.g who, whose, whom, that or which) or a relative adverb (e.g when, why or where).

Option A is correct because "that are not registered" is actually a relative which uses "that" (a relative pronoun). Also, it is essential because it answers the question "what kind of cars are towed?". It does not require comma.
