Greek Citizens disliked him. He waged wars constantly with Greek City states and wanted to unite them all into a single great Greek empire under Macedon. However, he was seen as a barbaric brute by people and he was eventually assassinated before his dream was fulfilled. His son Alexander managed to conquer all of Greece and much more later.
