❖ 1. Prophase- coils form, chromosomes become visible and condensed, nucleolus disappears, nuclear membrane breaks down

2. Metaphase - spindle fibers pull duplicated chromosomes to middle of cell. Chromosomes line up in single file

3. Anaphase- each sister chromatid separates and they move to opposite sides

4. Telophase- spindle fibers disappear. Nuclear membrane forms around chromatin. Two identical nuclei are formed. Final phase of mitosis.

The endoplasmic reticulum (particularly the rough endoplasmic reticulum) has ribosomes attached to it, a type of organelle that synthesizes protein. It also itself folds proteins in sacs on its surface called cisternae.

The question, however, most likely is referring specifically to ribosomes, as these are the organelles primarily responsible for the production of proteins. The endoplasmic reticulum is mostly to assist the ribosomes and transport the proteins once they are properly folded.
