The answer is D. The Cherokee people had to move west of the Mississippi River. The tribe was forced to move from the territory and make there was to Oklahoma, when they got to Oklahoma the people didn't want them there so, they moved towards Tennessee. West of the Mississippi River.

I believe it would be A. the reason for this is because the Cherokees were considered unthreatening during the time. The Cherokees refused to sell their lands. It wasn't until 1828 when the policy changed and they appeared in court arguing their rights as a "civilized tribe"
