The answer is nitrogen-fixing bacteria.

Plants are not able to directly use atmospheric nitrogen. It must be converted into different form through a nitrogen cycle. In the process of nitrogen fixation, nitrogen fixing bacteria converts atmospheric nitrogen into ammonium. In the process of assimilation, plants incorporate ammonium into proteins.

Some legumes have a symbiotic relationship with bacteria that live in their root system. These bacteria are called Rhizobia and have the ability of nitrogen-fixation.

How would you explain the “density of the elephant population” to someone?
cricket20 [7]

Answer:

The most effective experimental approach to assess the effects of elephant impact on vegetation is to assess plant responses under differences in elephant density. It is important that other factors, such as soils or habitat structure are held constant so that the only factor which varies is elephant density.

In the 20th century where did the most ecologically destructive oil spill in the US
Alekssandra [29.7K]
Oil spills have been one of the most common forms of ecological destruction of marine life, most especially the coral reef systems. The presence of oil in the water surface would block sunlight and oxygen supply to the marine animals. Among the most destructive forms of oil spill as of recent date was the incident that happened in the Prince William Sound.

ELEN [110]
A: That answer is illogical at best
B: It makes sense, the smaller you are, the less food you need
C: This would need extensive studying of key deer ancestry to figure out
D: This could work over thousands of years. But an overpopulation of one wouldn't push out the other. Ungulates (hooved mammals) of different species often work together.

B, sounds like your best choice.

Why does moving pollen from one pollen to another help the plants
ahrayia [7]

Answer:

Flowers have male parts called stamens that produce a sticky powder called pollen. When pollen from a plant's stamen is transferred to a different plant's stigma, it is called cross-pollination. Cross-pollination produces stronger plants. The plants must be of the same species.
