But no really it is because Hitler's allies like Italy pulled out of the war early and other nations decided to jump in to finally crush NAZI Germany
They believed that it was best served by valuing reason over desire. This comes as no surprise considering that it was a time of enlightenment and that people should educated themselves and be sensible, a lot more than they should be emotional and envious and things like that.
