In Moses' Second sermon in Deuteronomy, he seeks to invoke covenant renewal on the part of the second generation by reminding them of what God did for Israel. He gives instructions to the new generation in hopes to help them to repent of the rebelious ways of their parents and be able to receive the blessings and guidance from God.
