If one of hem is doubled, the other would be halved

We are given that the two variables are inversely related. <u>This means that</u> if one of them increases, the other would decrease be the same amount.

<u>Assume that the two variables are x and y.</u>
If x increased by 2 ........> y would decrease by 2

<u>This means that:</u>
When x becomes 2x ..........> doubled
y would become \frac{y}{2} .........> halved
