The stanza that illustrates that the city of London is looking ahead with renewed vigor is this one: "Me-thinks already, from this chemic flame, I see a city of more precious mould: Rich as the town which gives the Indies name, With Silver paved, and all divine with Gold." In spite of the calamitous nature and devastating effect of the Great Fire (1666), which Dryden describes so vividly in this famous and extensive historical poem, the author chooses to be optimistic and hopeful, and he even ventures to compare post-fire London with the prosperous city of Mexico ("the town which gives the Indies name"), then under Spanish rule.

I want a speech on how to save earth and why tress are important for us
Lina20 [59]

Every day we make choices about the way we live. alot of choices we make without even thinking that can either negatively or positively affect the planet. We, as members of a growing community, need to start making a habit of making the conscious choice to recycle, keep a better carbon foot print, and start leading healthier lives. If we don't start making the conscious choice to preserve our wildlife and atmosphere we will start to see greater consequences then we already have. Trees give us the oxegyn we need to survive everyday. places like LA and Tokyo have horrible smog and air quality because they have tons of machinery polluting the air and no trees and plants to help preserve.

How does more appeal to the values of kings to persuade them not to improverish their subjects??
stealth61 [152]
Persuasion becomes more agreeable and beneficial when one attacks with consciousness. The attack is done well if the values of the person being persuaded is brought upon the subject of the conversation. During the Biblical times, talking to Kings and asking favor from them meant that the persuasion should incorporate his values in order to make it more effective.
