Mao Zedong was the leader of China immediately after World War II. He was the Chinese Communist Leader that declared the creation of the People’s Republic of China (PRC). He was responsible for ending the civil war between the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the Nationalist Party or Kuomintang (KMT).
