Answer;

-The vmax for the reaction would probably be decreased.

Explanation;

- Vmax is the rate of reaction when the enzyme is saturated with substrate is the maximum rate of reaction. The relationship between rate of reaction and concentration of substrate depends on the affinity of the enzyme for its substrate.

-Km is the concentration of substrate which permits the enzyme to achieve half Vmax. An enzyme with a high Km has a low affinity for its substrate, and requires a greater concentration of substrate to achieve Vmax.

-The velocity of enzyme reaction increases when temperature of the medium is increased; reaches a maximum and then falls (Bell shaped curve). The temperature at which maximum amount of the substrate is converted to the product per unit time is called the optimum temperature. Temperature is increased, more molecules get activation energy, or molecules are at increased rate of motion. Their collision probabilities are increased and so the reaction velocity is enhanced.

Answer:

The vmax would be decreased.

Explanation:

Since enzymes are also proteins, factors such as pH, temperature and substrate concentration will influence their performance. Enzymes, like all proteins, are denatured under certain conditions and stop working, or have the Vmax of their reactions diminished.

Thus, the vmax of an enzymatic reaction increases to some extent with increasing temperature. From a certain optimum temperature (whose value depends on the enzyme that is reacting), where the reaction speed is maximum, protein denaturation occurs, which inactivates the enzyme. This is because there is a change in its three-dimensional shape, so the enzyme can no longer attach to the substrate and catalyze the chemical reaction. Thus, after passing the optimum temperature, the reaction Vmax decelerates rapidly.

Write the number of each atom in the chemical formulas for all of the possible combinations of positive and negative ions found
adell [148]

A chemical formula is obtained from the number of atoms in a compound.

Chemical compounds are composed of atoms. The number atoms of each element in a compound determines the correct formula of the compound. Before I can write the chemical formula of any compound, I must first determine the number of each atom in the compound.

For instance, phosphorus trichloride contains one atom of phosphorus and three atoms of chlorine hence I would place a 1 in the box for P and 3 in the box for Cl.

A client with localized redness and swelling due to a bee sting reports intense local pain, a burning sensation, and itching. wh
Umnica [9.8K]
The correct answer is "applying cold compresses to the affected area".

Most of the people stang by a bee or wasp experience a localized reaction and only 3% of the people will exhibit an allergic reaction. The normal localized reaction includes reddening and swelling of the skin, along with a local itching and pain.

Although these reactions will probably start disappearing within a few hours, there are several things that the person could do to alleviate the pain and discomfort. The most important thing to do is to apply ice or cold compresses to the affected area, to reduce the body's inflammatory response.

What are the different types of survivorship curves?
yanalaym [24]
There are three types of survivorship curves. Type I curves depict individuals that have a high probability of surviving to adulthood. Type II curves depict individuals whose chance of survival is independent of age. Type III curves depict individuals that mostly die in the early stages of their life.
