You have to divide your total by 4 to figure out what 1/4 of the price would be. That makes 1/4 of the price $19,631.15  So really you could just do $78,524.60 x2 to figure out the 2x  which is $157,049.20 and then do $19,631.15 x3 to figure out the 3/4 amount which is $58,893.45.  Then add the two numbers to get $215, 942.65

If you use your office computer 40 hours per week, and do not unplug the computer when it is not in use, how much carbon dioxide
dangina [55]
If you use a laptop:  9.25; a desktop with a CRT monitor:  55.51; a desktop with an LCD monitor:  46.26.

A laptop that is plugged up and turned off uses 0.001kw/hr of energy.  Each kwh of energy produces, on average, 1.39 lbs of CO2.  There are 24*7=168 hours in the week; subtract the 40 hour work week from this and we have 128 hours a week for 52 weeks a year:
0.001*128*52=6.656*1.39=9.25.

A desktop that is plugged up and turned off uses 0.004kw/hr of energy.  A CRT monitor uses 0.002 kw/hr when turned off.  This means we have:
(0.004*128*52*1.39)+(0.002*128*52*1.39)=55.51.

For a desktop and an LCD monitor, which uses 0.001 kw/hr of energy, we have:
(0.004*128*52*139)+(0.001*128*52*1.39)=46.26.

the hoover dam is 725 feet tall. how long would it take an object to fall from the top to the base of the dam? round the answer
Alinara [238K]

Answer:

45.05 seconds

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the formula: d = vi t + \frac{1}{2} at^{2}

d = distance      vi = initial velocity (m/s)

t = time (s)     a = acceleration (m/s^{2})

m is meters and s is seconds. They are units of measurement so leave them be.

Assuming the object is simply dropped, the initial velocity is 0 since the object was not moving before it was dropped.

The distance is 725 feet, which is 220.98 meters.

The acceleration is 9.81m/s^{2} since that is the acceleration of Earth's gravity, aka free fall.

Time is what we are trying to find so just leave it as the variable t.

So plug the values into the equation:

220.98m = (0)(t) + \frac{1}{2} (9.81m/s^{2})(t)

220.98m = (4.905m/s^{2})(t)

45.0519877676s = t

t = 45.05s

Remember to pay attention to units because your answer will be wrong otherwise
