3. -x + 2 < 3x - 6

=3x +x < 2 + 6

=4x < 8

=x > 8/4

=x > 2

4. 3v - 12 > 5v + 10

= 5v-3v > 10+12

=2v > 22

= v < 22/2

=v < 11
