Modern India is based on the Indus Valley Civilization.

Historical evidence suggests over six thousand years ago a massive wave of migration took place into the Indus Valley from Central Asia. Why such a huge population of people resettled from their homelands into the Indus Valley is not known, however, what is known is that they brought them various traditions, cultures and languages that completely changed the fate of the region for the coming years.

Alongside new language and culture, they bought in a religion that had a vast impact on the belief system of the local people.

Hence, it is clear that modern Hinduism actually grew from a mixture of local religious beliefs with those of Central Asian nomads who moved here.

Between 4000 and 1500 B.C. civilizations flourished throughout the Indus Valley. Archaeologists  and Scholars believe it was from their political and social organization that Hinduism emerged. Indus Valley peoples migrated to the Gangetic region of India and tribes from Central Asia migrated into India; this migration process contributed to combine vedic beliefs with the indigenous Indians beliefs, which formed the foundation of Hinduism.

There was much more civil unrest during the 1960s than the 1950s. However, unrest in both decades was caused by the issues of African American rights and grievances. In the 1960s, but not the 1950s, unrest was also caused by the Vietnam War. In the 1950s, there was little civil unrest in the US.
