The area is 15. Since squares have equal side lengths, you just have to find the value of x so that the answer is the same. x=4.5
4.5 + 3 = 12 - 4.5 = 7.5     Then all you have to do is multiply it by 2. That will give you 15. I hope you understand.

Then you'd do this:

(x + 3)(12 - x)
= 12x - x^2 + 12x - 3x
= 21x - x^2

Hope it helped :)

Carlos is making some observations from the roof of a building. Which angle is the angle of depression from carlos to the car?
IceJOKER [234]

we know that

The angle below horizontal that an observer must look to see an object is called the angle of depression

The angle above horizontal that an observer must look to see an object is called the angle of elevation

In this problem we have

the horizontal is the line KL

and the angle below horizontal between Carlos and the car is equal to

Angle LKI

therefore

the answer is

The angle of depression from Carlos to the car is the angle LKI

Solve the equation 5.4g + 4 = 1.4g +20.
katovenus [111]
A. g=4
b. first you're going to subtract 1.4g from both sides;
5.4g + 4 - 1.4g = 1.4g + 20 - 1.4g
then simplify it;
4g+4=20
then, you'll subtract 4 from both sides;
4g + 4 - 4 = 20 - 4
then simplify again;
4g=16
lastly, you will divide 4 from both sides;
4g/4 = 16/4
since 16/4=4, then g=4
