Have you ever considered how the water feels?

Does it feel invaded or used by us?

The sailor's endurance is something to be admired, for sure, but have you ever looked the waters?

The waves crashing over the bow, washing the edge of the deck, and slinking back into itself, how tirelessly they try to take you down into their depths where you'd drown?

Is it so silly of me to believe that the sea may be something more than just some dangerous waters?

To rote how to sail or even just swim means nothing to me who would give in to the sea; Yes, the waters are arcticly cold, but why should that matter if I'm not trying to breathe?

But now forget all of that, for you asked of the waters not quizzical ponders; To describe the passage o' drake, I'd say it's definitely not as calm as a lake!

Exciting, like an adventure with sirens a' singing; Dangerous, like the tall tales sailors tell before they tell us they're kidding.
