Parking at a large university has become a very big problem. University administrators are interested in determining the average

parking time (e.g. the time it takes a student to find a parking spot) of its students. An administrator inconspicuously followed 250 students and carefully recorded their parking times. Identify the population of interest to the university administration.

Answer:

The population of interest is all the students at the University, to find their parking times.

Step-by-step explanation:

Sampling

This is a common statistics practice, when we want to study something from a population, we find a sample of this population.

For example:

I want to estimate the proportion of New York state residents who are Buffalo Bills fans. So i ask, lets say, 1000 randomly selected New York state residents wheter they are Buffalo Bills fans, and expand this to the entire population of New York State residents.

Here, the population of interest is all New York state residents.

An administrator inconspicuously followed 250 students and carefully recorded their parking times.

Sample of 250 students at the University.

So the population of interest is all the students at the University, to find their parking times.

Plot A(2,9), B(7,9), C(−3,−5), and D(−3,1) in a coordinate plane. Are AB and CD congruent? if you answer before 11:59 you get br
levacccp [35]

Given :

Four points A(2,9) , B(7,9) , C(-3,-5) and D(-3,1) .

To Find :

Are AB and CD congruent .

Solution :

Two line segment are congruent when their length is equal .

Now , length of line segment with points  (a,b) and (c,d) .

L=\sqrt{(a-c)^2+(b-d)^2} .

So , length of AB is :

AB=\sqrt{(2-7)^2+(9-9)^2}\\\\AB=\sqrt{(-5)^2+0^2}\\\\AB=5\ units

Also , length of CD is :

CD=\sqrt{(-3-(-3))^2+(-5-1)^2}\\\\CD=\sqrt{0^2+(-6)^2}\\\\AB=6\ units

Since , length of AB and CD is not equal .

Therefore , the line segment AB and CD are not congruent .
