She does not deprive herself of social concepts in relation to women and acts according to her own convictions. This is a strong gift, as it is not easy for anyone, even nowadays, to follow everything they most want without caring about society's opinion and judgments.

However, Edna's gift also causes problems for her. This is because, her attitude generates judgments not only to her, but her family, especially to her children, causing them to be harmed. This retracts Edna and is capable of causing even her death.
