Thomas Nast drawings was the reason of the downfall of Boss Tweed, a powerful Tammany Hall leader. Boss Tweed led a ring that controls the city government and he defrauded the city's million dollars. Moreover, Thomas Nast attacks Tammany corruption through his cartoons which he published in the pages of Harpers. This lead to the Rings removal of power.
