<u>Christian humanist- </u>"Christian humanists combined the the philosophical side of Christianity with the classic principles of humanism."

As, in the beginning after <em>the discovery of many ancient Latin and Greek texts in the Europe</em>, they were studied and research was carried out on them, by the scholars and priests.As it is now believed that the christian humanism developed more from the <em>Renaissance humanism and Christian scholasticism</em>. Both of them started after the recovery of the Greek and Latin texts in Europe.

As, after the 15th century the christian humanism was actually structured  and then was developed by the efforts of  Jakob Wimpfeling, John Colet, and Thomas More.

Explanation:

<u>Scholasticism:</u> A Latin world <em>scholasticus</em> meaning,<em>"that [which] belongs to the school"</em>,  a learning method which was based on studying in an academy or ancient schools of thoughts.

There was a time when the scholars and priest were in search to find answers to unsolved questions. People were considered lost and for that philosophical analyses of the ideas of church, was done and mostly by studying the work of Aristotle and his commentators. After which the <em>Renaissance humanism </em>replaced it.

<u>The key figures?</u>

  3. Thomas More,

And in the northern region we have,

  1. Jacques Lefèvre d'Étaples
  2. Erasmus,

As, all of them worked for the humanist ideas and they were very cautions of any corruption in the church.
