The Ottoman Empire changed the city of Constantinople by changing the  Christian churches into mosques and making it more diverse and secular.

Explanation:

Through the duration of the Byzantine Empire the city of Constantinople was the heart of the Eastern Roman Empire. This side of the empire was mainly Catholic and had a lot of well structured churches. This city after the fall of most of the empire was in the middle of the now very big Ottoman Empire. This historic city was sacked by the Ottoman Empire in the 1400s. They changed the <u>churches into mosques,</u> specifically Hagia Sophia one of the most beautiful architectural buildings went from a church to a mosque and thanks to that, the building still stands today. As well, they were tolerant with the diversity of the population.
