Answer:

The answer to the question: As Chinese leader, what did Mao Zedong accomplish, would be: the Cultural Revolution and the turn of the Chinese governmental system to Communism. Finally, he also managed to bring China from an agriculturally-focused economy, into a rapidly industrialized one.

Explanation:

Mao Zedong is probably one of the most iconic characters in world history and in China. He was the revolutionary Communist who faced the nationalists and managed to upturn a centuries-old system of government into a Communist one, from 1949, onwards. One of the most polemic accomplishments of Mao is the Cultural Revolution, a system through which Mao managed to equalize the education and learning system of the Chinese people by erasing any documents, books, or texts, that were considered anti-Communist, or pro-nationalists. The second thing was, that Mao managed to turn the Chinese nation into a Communist nation and the third, and most important is, that he transformed the Chinese economy from an agriculturally-based one into a rapidly developed and industrialized one, through his program: Great Leap Forward.
