When tectonic plates separate, they diverge allowing magma to flow. Simply put it is D

The correct answer is - When two tectonic plates move in opposite directions, it causes magma to rise, creating a new seafloor.

On the places where there's a divergent plate boundary, thus the plates are moving away from one another, the space they leave in between is becoming thinner and softer. Because the crust becomes much easier to crack, the high temperatures high pressure, and magma, manage to penetrate easily through it. As the magma reaches the seafloor, it cools of and creates new rocks, thus new seafloor, which is manifested with mid ocean ridges. As more and more magma comes out, more and more new crust will be forming.

The short residence time of water in the atmosphere allows a water molecule to have a stronger ability to do which of the follow
Katena32 [7]

Answer: B. participate in the hydrologic cycle

Explanation: Residence time of water is the rate of water in a water reservoir such as the ocean or the atmosphere divided by how fast more water is added to it or lost from it.

While residence time is thousands of years in oceans, water in the atmosphere has a short residence time of abut 10 – 11 days. This allows it to participate in the hydrologic cycle which includes evaporation and precipitation. Water in the atmosphere precipitates as snow or rain, returning to other water reservoirs.

The north magnetic pole of a compass needle is attracted to the _____ magnetic pole of the earth.
Ugo [173]

The north magnetic pole of a compass needle is attracted to the south magnetic pole of the earth.

What is Magnetic pole of the earth?

 • The magnetic field that emanates from the inside of the Earth into space is known as the geomagnetic field, and it interacts with the solar wind, a solar wind is a stream of charged particles that leaves the Sun.
 • The geographic pole and the magnetic pole are the two sets of poles on Earth.
 • If you picture a sizable bar magnet inside of our planet that is roughly aligned with the axis of the globe, you can visualize the Earth's magnetic field.
 • The North and South poles of the earth are just around 10 degrees apart from each end of the magnet.
 • The ideal dipole model of the Earth's magnetic field, which is the one that most closely resembles the planet's actual magnetic field, has the geomagnetic north pole as its northern antipodal pole.
