Coal is a natural resources which is responsible for driving the industry of China's power plants. Almost 60% of the energy used in China comes from coal.

There are vast numbers of huge coal reserves in the northern region of the country and it is expected to have 30 year's worth of coal reserve.
The coal consumption is hugely dominated by the Industrial sector with the residential sector falling behind it.
The country also imports additional coals from countries such as Australia and Indonesia.

In the current events, China has disapproved the construction of coal-fired plants for the environment.
