<span>I believe that the italicized word here is “dignify”. When you dignify something, you’re making something, may it be a silly thing or not, worthy. Thus, the answer to this is letter B, or “make worthy”. That only means that the author is giving dignity to the interviewer’s silly question through his response.</span>
