History

The article of Confederation was originally an early version of the constitution of the United States, such was designed as a regulatory agreement among the 13 original colonies of the U.S to fight against the Revolution.

The causes of the failure of the Articles of Confederation can be seen in the fact that the Article did not provide the Congress and the national government with sufficient authority to implement their laws. Because of this, many people thought that they require a powerful central government. Hence, a special conference of delegates was called to draft the initial Constitution for the United States of America. Therefore the convention founded the Federal government.
