Answer: The Europeans saw an opportunity to spread their religion to other places. Finally, the desire for land, wealth, and power were factors encouraging exploration. The European powers were constantly competing with each other for influence.

Answer: The main factor that led to European exploration was the climate and lack of land available in Europe. Tiny land-locked countries can only expand by taking a colony. They also could not produce all of the goods they wanted, and they needed spices and silk from the Orient. The result was to send out the ships!

Bertold Brecht's alienation effect was designed so that theater audiences could:______.a) avoid being absorbed in the experience
dem82 [27]

Answer:

a) avoid being absorbed in the experience and miss the important political point of theater.

Explanation:

Bertold Brecht was a German poet and playwright who designed the alienation effect. He wasn't comfortable with the emotional attachment the audience had with characters in a play as a result of emotional manipulation by the film directors.

He politicized "epic drama", a kind of style that seek to allow audience objectivity rather than emotional involvement in a play. He wanted his audience to be objective and hence make rational judgement.

A major argument against legalizing euthanasia is a concern that it may lead society to condone the killing of those who are not
Oduvanchick [21]

A major argument against legalizing euthanasia is a concern that it may lead society to condone the killing of those who are not ready to die, creating a slippery slope.

What is euthanasia?

Euthanasia is the practice of ending a patient's life in order to relieve their suffering. Normally, the patient in question would have a serious illness or be in excruciating agony. The Greek words "EU" (good) and "Thanatos" are the origin of the word "euthanasia."

The Christian commandment "Do not kill," respect for life or the sanctity of life, the principle of non-maleficence (do no harm), the Hippocratic Oath, and a few so-called "slippery-slope arguments" are some of the moral grounds against euthanasia that will be covered first.

Legalization has three key advantages:

 • Achieving personal autonomy,
 • Minimizing unnecessary pain and suffering,
 • Giving terminally ill patients psychological confidence.
