Answer:

Behaviour and outcome

Explanation:

In every organisation or workplace, the behaviour and the outcome of every employee is very important. This is so because the attitude and behaviors of employees in the workplace have a direct and almost impact on efficiency and the productivity of business' operations, and in the long run, its success. With that, we can conclude that professional attitude of workers generate good work product and rises the status of the company, and likewise improper and/or unprofessional behaviors have the potential to destruct productivity, decrease morale and create a poor public image.

If c corporations retain their after-tax earnings, when will their individual shareholders be taxed on the retained earnings?
stepan [7]

When will shareholders of C businesses that retain their post-tax profits be subject to individual income tax on those retained profits. When shareholders sell their shares for a profit, they must pay taxes.

C corporations will pay tax at a corporate rate of 21% as of the 2020 tax year (down from 35 percent in 2017). Then, dividends are taxed at the owner's personal marginal tax rate, which is up to 37%. (depending on the tax bracket).

Distributions of money or other assets to shareholders will lower the corporation's earnings and profits (E&P), but they won't affect its taxable income. Taxes are paid by the corporation on its taxable income and by the shareholders on any dividends they receive.

Ignoring taxes what is the effect on earnings in the year after the shares are granted to executives
ipn [44]

Answer: C. $40 million.

Explanation:

By granting them 15 million shares subject to forfeiture if employment is terminated within three years, the company is compensating them.

The total amount that they will be compensated with has to be apportioned over the 3 years as an expense that will reduce earnings per year.

Total compensation = No. of shares * fair value of shares

= 15,000,000 * 8

= $120,000,000

Apportioned over 3 years;

= 120,000,000/3

= $40,000,000

unrelized loss(OCI) 7,100 debit

trading securities earnhart corp 3,700 credit

trading securities- wallace 3,400 credit

-- 2018 year-end adjustment--

Explanation:

gordon 77,600 - 73,200 = (4,100)

wallace 172,900 - 167,700 = 5,200

martin 63,500 - 65,100 = (1,600)

         Total adjustment (500)

We will declare as other comprehensive incoem the unrealized loss of 500 dollar for the period

At sale date we compare the proceeds and the cost to check for the earning or losses:

1,500 shares x $45 each less 1,200 fees = 66,300

                        gordon shares book value (73,200)

                       loss on investment 6,900

Earnhart corp:

700 shares x $75 each plus 1,300 fees: 53,800

year-end adjusting 2018

earnhart 50,100 - 53,800 = (3,700)

wallace 61,700 - 65,100 = (3,400)

martin 167,700 - 167,700 = 0

unrealized loss (7,1 00)
