Ranch is a rural property where there is usually a dwelling and on its back, fields for cattle rearing. The word most often applies to livestock operations in Mexico, the western United States and Canada, although there are ranches in other areas. These areas are often far from the city because it is a totally rural place, and so life on the ranch is characterized by isolation.
