3x+12-8x=-x+2x+20
-5x+12=x+20
-5x-x=20-12
-6x=8
-6x/-6=8/-6
X=8/-6
X=-4/3

Select one of the factors of 3x² + 4x - 4.<br> O (x + 4)<br> O (3x + 2)<br> O (3x - 2)<br> O(x - 2)
tino4ka555 [31]

Answer:

(3x-2)

Step-by-step explanation:

3x² + 4x - 4

look for two factors whose product is (3)(-4)=<em>-12</em> and sum is +4

The factors will be +6 and -2

substitute these factors inplace of 4x to get:

3x² - 2x + 6x - 4

then factorize:

x(3x-2)+2(3x-2)

finally we get factors: (3x-2)(x+2)

Write an equation in point-slope form for a line that passes through the given set of points.
VashaNatasha [74]

First off, we need the slope

\frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}

<u />\frac{8-(-4)}{1-(-2)}<u />

That leaves you with

12/3 = 4

<em><u>point-slope form: </u></em> y-y1 = m ( x - x1)

So...

y - (-4) = 4 ( x - (-2))

y + 4 = 4 (x + 2)

y + 4 = 4x + 8

Now subtract 4 from both sides of the equation

y = 4x +4
