Hello there!

Your answer would be B). The Line of Demarcation

The reason why the Line of Demarcation would be the correct answer is because the Line of Demarcation was part of a treaty that assigned areas for Spain and Portugal to develop. The line was also known as a restriction for the amount of land Spain and Portugal could get. Most of the Eastern side of South America was claimed by Portugal because of the Line of Demarcation. The land that was claimed by Portugal would be now known as Brazil. The Line of Demarcation really shaped the linguistic, or language, of the regions in South America because if it wasn't for the Line of Demarcation, South America would've developed a lot differently, and would probably be different today.

MakcuM [25]

Rising air masses and cold ocean currents are some of the causes of dry lands.

Water is scarce, which is what distinguishes drylands. Drylands are regions where plant transpiration and surface evaporation balance precipitation. Drylands are defined as tropical and temperate regions with an aridity index of less than 0.65 by the United Nations Environment Program.

Drylands have two primary causes: "Climatic fluctuations" and "Human activities." agricultural operations in the fragile ecosystems of arid and semi-arid areas, which are thereby overburdened. loss of the natural vegetation cover (by taking too much fuel wood).

Therefore, investing in drylands reaps substantial social and environmental rewards. Smallholder agriculture that is water and environmentally friendly is crucial for eradicating poverty, fostering smallholder climate change adaption, and restoring degraded lands.
