I think, it's really hard to diminish the violent behavior in the current generation. The only way for African people to prevent violence and civil war is to create a strong law enforcement within the government and impose heavy punishment to the violent groups. Then, they should start to improve the quality of education to develop the young minds of Africa so they became a better generation than their previous one.

In 1848, several western territories were annexed to the U.S after their cession from Mexico and finally, in 1853, the Gadsden Purchase in northern Mexico.
