Jill is an 8-year-old girl who is having a birthday party. according to freud, since Jill is in the latency period, you would expect that mostly girls are to be at her party.

Latency is the fourth stage of psychosexual development in Freud’s psychoanalytic theory. It happens about 5 years to puberty. At this period, a child represses sexual urges so the child prefers to associate with members of the same sex.

Moving from being the biggest and oldest students in elementary school to being the youngest and least powerful students in midd
lorasvet [3.4K]

Moving from being the biggest and oldest students in elementary school to being the youngest and least powerful students in middle school is called the top - dog phenomenon.

What is the top - dog phenomenon?

This is the theory that is used to emphasize the fact that the students that are at the top of the learning circle are better than those students a that are seen at the bottom.

The top students are said to have the best experiences when compared to the other students. For instance we have this example.

In this case the person has moved from being a old and powerful student in one level to being a weak and young student in a different level.

PLEASE HELP ME I AM DOING A TEST WITH 49 QUESTIONS compare how both europe and asia are limiting humans impact on the environmen
Pani-rosa [81]

Answer:

Humanity’s environmental footprint has increased, but at a much slower rate compared to population and economic growth because of more efficient use of natural resources, reports Mongabay

Explanation:

There is a long-standing dispute on the extent to which population growth causes environmental degradation. Most studies on this link have so far analyzed cross-country data, finding contradictory results. However, these country-level analyses suffer from the high level of dissimilarity between world regions and strong collinearity of population growth, income, and other factors. We argue that regional-level analyses can provide more robust evidence, isolating the population effect from national particularities such as policies or culture. We compile a dataset of 1062 regions within 22 European countries and analyze the effect from population growth on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and urban land use change between 1990 and 2006. Data are analyzed using panel regressions, spatial econometric models, and propensity score matching where regions with high population growth are matched to otherwise highly similar regions exhibiting significantly less growth. We find a considerable effect from regional population growth on carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and urban land use increase in Western Europe. By contrast, in the new member states in the East, other factors appear more important.

Where is the surprising place haidt discusses and why do many people report finding self-transcendence there?
Sergeu [11.5K]

War is the unexpected setting that Haidt outlines where people experience self-transcendence. Nothing brings people together like a battle, and that bringing them together opens up the prospect of remarkable self-transcendent experiences, thus many individuals claim to have found the self-transcendence there.

Fundamentally, self-transcendence is about transcending (or getting above) the self and relating to something bigger than the self. In plainer terms, it means accepting your place as a minor component of a larger whole and acting accordingly.

Self-transcendence values, in contrast, are anxiety-free and socially focused, reflecting a growth incentive and concern for others' well-being over one's own. As a result, they may boost prosociality, which fosters the development and maintenance of relationships.
